If you’ve ever hustled a city build-out or wrangled a crowd line, you already know the quiet hero is the temporary fence. I’ve watched crews lose hours with flimsy panels; I’ve also seen the opposite—modular systems that click together, pass wind tests, and just keep working. The Temperare Fence (yes, spelled that way) comes out of No.3 Building, Weier Road 11, Anping County, Hebei, China—and it’s been showing up on sites I cover more and more lately.
Three things: lighter frames that still meet wind loading, recycled bases (no crumbly concrete mess), and faster clamps. Also, event managers want color-coded panels and brandable screens. Honestly, it’s about time—logistics wins projects.
| Panel size | 2.1 × 2.4 m (≈ 6.9 × 7.9 ft); custom on request |
| Wire diameter / Mesh | 3.0–4.0 mm; 60 × 150 mm aperture (real-world may vary) |
| Frame tube | Ø32 mm, 1.2–1.5 mm wall; MIG seam welded |
| Finish | Hot-dip galvanised (ISO 1461 / ASTM A123), optional powder coat 60–80 µm |
| Base | Recycled PVC or concrete-filled; anti-trip profile |
| Wind notes | Panel tested around 0.6–0.8 kN/m lateral load with bracing; site conditions rule |
| Service life | 5–10 years depending on finish and coastal exposure |
Materials: Q235 low-carbon steel mesh, ERW steel tube frames. Welded via resistance spot + MIG corner seams for shear integrity. Galvanising: pre-galv wire plus full hot-dip on assembled frames; powder coat after phosphate wash for adhesion. Tests include zinc thickness checks (≈70–100 µm), salt spray per ASTM B117, coating adhesion per ASTM D3359, weld shear pull, and vertical load on bases. I’ve seen panels survive ugly weather, which says the process is dialed in.
“Install time was half our usual—clamps actually line up.” — Project foreman, regional GC
| Vendor | Zinc coat | Weld strength | Lead time | Certs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TY Wire Mesh (Temperare) | ≈70–100 µm | ≥600 N joint shear | 12–20 days | ISO 9001; aligns to AS 4687 |
| Vendor A | ≈60–80 µm | ≈500 N | 20–30 days | ISO 9001 |
| Vendor B | ≈50–70 µm | ≈450 N | 15–25 days | — |
Options: powder colors, anti-climb mesh, swing/slide gates, privacy scrim (mesh or PVC), anti-lift couplers, stamped logos, and dolly wheels for rapid moves. Crews tell me the temporary fence bases with anti-trip profiles reduce incident reports—small detail, big deal.
Bottom line: robust panels, credible coatings, and sane lead times. Not flashy—just the kind of temporary fence you forget about because it works.
